  1. 1, Attend you gallant Irishmen and listen for a while,
I'll sing to you the praises of the Sons of Erin's Isle,
Concerning bloody orangemen how they called out their cores
For to murder Roman Catholics one side of Ballinamore.
2, It been on the 12th day of July in 1846
They swore they'd murder Romans and break the crucifix.
Coming down the town croppy lie down
Was the first tune they played.
And all the cry as they past by
    Where is the ribbon-blade?
3, Our Irish blood glowed in our veins
    Like any purling - rill
When a few of us did them pursue
    And met on Ardrum Hill.
The very first engagement we made a grand attack.
We broke their guns and bayonets and tore down their Orange flags
4, There were a few ne'r wore a shoe who did the whole expel
If they had no place to hide their face they'd surely run to hell
We marched in grand procession as they played their fifes and drums
But little was their notion that we'd take their sword's and guns
