  1. (continued from previous page)
    And listen to my song.
    Concerning a Co. Roscommon goat.
    As you shall quickly hear,
    Which strayed away by Longford,
    All in this present year.
And as the drovers come along.
    They drove the animal fast,
And when they arrived at Ballinamore,
She called there for a glass.
When she got the glass -
    Some "gibberish" she did prate.
She travelled on up Lahard bray
    And stopped at Bushel's gate.
    When she arrived at Cor(a)duff
    Its loudly she did roar,
And called out for Edward Scarlett.
That used to keep the boar.
    Scarlett being right active,
He smiled and this did say -
You're welcome here my bony goat,
    For you'll colour my "tay".
    One very morning very early,
    Says she - I'll take a walk.
    She landed in Liscrudy,
And its there she had to park.
    That night as she slumbering.
    Convenient to a pass. -
