    Some poor people (Catholics) were about to be evicted in the townland of Aughavas Carrigallen for non-payment of rent about 20 years ago. Rory O'Neill a Protestant paid the rent and so "grabbed" the land for which he was 'boycotted"
    Michael Shanaghy also made the rhyme about it which is as follows -

    Come all you true bread irishmen
    Wherever you may be
    I hope you'll pay attention
    And listen unto me
    Its of an orange grabber I'm going to relate
    That in this peaceful Country
    Disturbance did create
    2
    It was in the town of Arva
    That village of renown
    Where landgrabbers and boycotts and tyrants are kept down
    One evening in last January
    The planter landed there
