    were found quite safe.
    Mularvy got a friend of his called Reilly from Behamore Carrigallen to sleep in the house with him. The first night Reilly was there he and Mularvey slept in the same room in two different beds. Towards the middle of the night the clothes began to be pulled off Reilly's bed. He thought it was Mularvey was doing it and he said "don't be pulling the clothes off me". That continued for a couple of hours and then the plates began to be broken in the dresser. Sometimes during the day when they sat down to their meals pieces of clods and other things of that nature came hopping down on their places from an unknown destination.
    At last they could put up with it no longer and they went to the Parish Priest. He brought a crowd of priests to the house some day afterwards. He decided that some evil spirit had got
