    his sharp claws and takes him away. The hawk also eats small birds. He catches them when he is flying.
    The woodcock is a brown bird and he is fairly large. The woodcock is a game bird and in the shooting seasons of the year these are the most plentiful birds to be got in the woods.
    The partridge is a great game bird but there are not many of them in this part of the country. The grouse is another game bird but there are none of them around here.
    The sea-gull is a pure white bird and he is fairly large. They live mostly beside the sea. There is a lot of them in this part of the country.
