- Long ago there lived a man by the name of Dan Hurley, he never listened to ghost stories or never was afraid to go out at any time of the night. He went out visiting his friends in Duagh, and he asked Father Finucane was there such a thing as ghosts and the priest did not say there were or there were not, but said, if you go out at night, after twelve o'clock the beasts are asleep and all the people are asleep and probably it is then they are to be seen.
