   boy lived alone in the house and it was late when he came in that night. All the damage was done when he came in. It was said that it was the "Headless Coach" that went through the house. The house is built on the track of the dead people and the front door is never opened.

   10-6-38 The following story was told to me by my grand-mother who is about 66 years of age. One night a man whose name was John Lynch from Ahanagran came to a dance in Ballylongford. During the night he got drunk and was fighting. After a while a crowd of young lads got his bicycle and painted the saddle with glue. After the dance John went and got his bicycle. He got up on the bicycle and acycled for home. It was a very dark-night and all the people of the country were in bed. It was about
