    remembered here. It used to be a day of great enjoyment, but the drowning caused a sorrowful change. Miss Mary Scanlon was principal teacher in Reenturk.
    A few years ago a motor accident occured at Tarmons Cross. One man, a Dutchman named Mr. Stenstrum died from his injuries. The car struck the fence and bounded into a field. Two other occupants of the car escaped.
