    The whole party went to the chapel for the marriage and often the bridegroom went on horseback behind the cars. "Roping" is still very customary. All the young boys of the town or village get a long rope and draw it across the road and would not leave the parties pass until they give them some money. Several times before the parties reach home they are "roped".
