    The dog was believed to have been he devil and it is said it was he who did the deed.
    Strange to say, the prints of this blood stained hand is still to be seen on the wall, no matter what improvements are made in it.
    This old residence in Fotwilliam, was sold out recently and a young married couple are now living in it, named Mr and Mrs. John Dowd.
    The house is still said to be haunted and the later owners often kept a lamp lighting all night in order to get rid of the strange noises.
