(continued from previous page)O'Byrne was very tired, and he went up to bed again. In the morning the owner came to the house and he was surprised to see the man there. He gave him a hundred pounds.
He was asked to stay a second night and he agreed to stay.
The second night the same things happened. First the dog barked and then the soot fell.
"Damn that soot," he said. Then he went down to the kitchen and a voice said to him:
