  1. When going to bed:-
As I lay down my wearry head,
    Jesus be about my bed,
Darkness is to Thee as light,
And keep me safely through the night.
    In bed:-
    Four corners on my bed,
    Four angels on them spread,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John,
god bless this bed that I lie on,
If I die before I wake,
To God I give my soul to take,
    In bed:-
Pray, father, pray to God to bless me,
    " , mother " " " " " "
    " all, " " " " " "
To make me true and faithful,
    To my life's end. Amen.
When lying down in bed:- In the name of thee, O Lord, Jesus Christ crucified, I lay me down to rest, govern, defend, and instrict me, and after this short and miserable pilgrimage bring me, and bring us all to life everylasting.
