  1. More than 70 years ago Captain King was landlord of Ballykilcash. He was one of the severest landlords ever known of. He had about 28 agents under him who were equally as cruel. If the Captain wanted to have a big ranch of land as pasture, he would drive out the tenants. At Ballykilcash there was a row of houses from John Scott's to "Hanley's Corner", Captain King evicted every one, and threw down
