    it so got its name.
    "Carraig na Bogaide" or the Stirring Rock, perched on the mountain top above Carraig Wood is famous in all this countryside. In Carraig Wood is a path known as (cas) Casainin na Gabhair" which means the Goat's Path. There is a hollow place (beetw) between the mountain tops at Carraig Wood which is called "Bearna Gaoithe" meaning the Windy Gap. There is a rock at the back of Haran's house, also at the foot of Carraig Wood, known as "Carraig an Eidhin" or the Ivy Rock.
