- A Legend of Loch Teinte.
There are many little lakes among the mountains in Masshill where I live. One very strange one is known as Loch Teinte. It is believed that one day the ground opened six feet wide and in five minutes it was filled with water. One day Eddy Gallagher of Tullyvilla whose sone was killed by lightning was passing by Loch Teinte during a thunder storm. He saw two flashes of lightning falling into the water. He went down to the brink and was astonished to see that the water was shivering all over though there was not a breeze at the time. This strange shivering has been often noticed on quite calm days.
