FolkloreOnce upon a time there was a fort, and every night at twelve o'clock, twelve fairies used to come out of the palace. Every year one hundred and forty four fairies used to be there. Accoming (As com) as the years went by the man that owned the fort put up bills about it so that many people from other lands came to see the fairies. After about fifty years it died out. In fifty years after it began to grow again. And soon every second fifty years it died off and came on again. From My father, William Murtagh.
