- There are several kinds of weeds the dog leaf, the chicken weed, the nettle, the brammier, and the purseacwee. The dog leaf grows in bad land and it cures the sting of the nettle. The chicken weed and the brammier grow on the ridges of the potatoes. The purseacwee grows among the stalks of the oats.
The purseacwee is sprayed to stop it of growing. Cattle eat the brammier. People cut nettles for turkeys as food. If the weeds are not pulled from the roots they will grow again.- Collector
