    The following are signs of frost - a hen picking her feathers, a snipe making noise, stars glittering at night, smoke going up straight in the air, a house to fill with smoke.
    Srúth going up. At the back of our mountain there is a stream called Srúth i n-aghaidh an Aírd. In bad weather it beats up against the rock and sends spray out all round about.
