Loads of sticks and turf are gathered and a drop of paraffin oil is got and with a few matches the fire is set going.On heights the fires are lighted and parties at one fire can see the party at another.When the blaze goes up there is great cheering. Fagots are lit and carried round about. A turf sprinkled with oil and fixed on the top of a stick makes a great fagot. It is often 1 or 2 o'clock in the night when the young people give up the sport.9. On Garland Sunday - last Sunday of July - crowds go up to the mountain for a great day picking bilberries.10. Between the two Lady Days 15th Aug. and 8th Sept many people around here go to visit Lady Well at Lisadell.
