- The badger is a wild beast found plentifully in this district. It lives in the wood up near the mountain.
The October moon is called the badger's moon. It is the brightest moon in the year. With the light of that mood the badgers save their harvest. They cut a lot of grain with their teeth and they spread it out until it is dry and saved.
Then they bring it into their cave to keep them warm for the winter.
They live on birds and rabbits and grass.
There are two kinds of badgers - the pig badger and the dog badger.
The pig badger is big and wild.
