    If Benbulben looks very far away it is a good sign.
    If the sheep on the mountain can be seen clearly and if they look big and white it is a sign of bad weather.
    If the sky looks white and a lot of white streamers stretch from North to South it is a sign of frost and dryness.
    If there are coloured streamers in the sky like the backbone of a herring it is a sign of a storm of rain and wind.
    If there are red coloured streamers in the sky like goat's hair it is a sign of stormy weather.
