- More than thirty years ago there lived in the townland of Ardnaglass near Grange in the parish of Ahamlish a man named Mickey Gilmartin nicknamed Mickey Phádruig. He was simple and could be easily led to believe things. One day Mickey went to Sligo for some things he needed. On his way home there was a black pig with a litter of young pigs belonging to the Barbours of Bunavalley on the road. The people of his particular townland Bunavalley, are without exception protestants and were then. This was a district planted after the Cromwell Wars.That night when the 'ramblers' gathered in - Mickey kept open house for all of them; he told them about the pig he had seen on the 'Line" - as this new road running past Bunavalley towards Ballintrillick is called.
