    The halter is retained when the animal is sold. There are special fairs held for the purpose of selling horses and bonhams.
    When the animals are sold luck-money is given so that the person who is the new owner of the animals will have the same luck as the former owner had. There is a great fair held every year at Carricknagat for the sale of horses only.
    A fair is held in the town of Sligo every month for the sale of cattle.
    I have heard the above written facts from the farmers of the District.
