    The morning it was beautiful,
    With a sweet and pleasant Gale,
    Its from the strand those grand youngmen,
    Away the boat did sail.
    A whirl pool upset the boat,
    And turned her up side down,
    'Twas sad to state they met their fate
    For those youngmen were drowned.
    A diver got it very hard,
    To seize the boat at last.
    And there he found poor Feilm Walsh
    A clinging to the mast.
    He was brought in upon the strand,
    The people gathered round,
    For on that day they all did pray,
    Poor Conlon was not found.
    The good people too of Enniscrone,
    Were sorry in the town.
    That Conlon and poor Feilm Walsh
    Upon the coast were drowned.
    God help poor Conlon's widow
