    each other. The covering is done either by shovelling or ploughing.
    When some of the stalks appear over the clay the ''closing'' is done. When the stalks appear again the weeding and moulding takes place. When the stalks are fully grown they are sprayed, so that the blight won't affect them. At the end of a fortnight they are sprayed again.
    In October the farmer digs the potato. Some farmers put them into potato stores, and others put them into pits and cover them with clay.
