- Owen Forde told me he remembers a great wind in October '86. It started about twelve noon on a Sunday. Owen went out to tie down a cock of ryegrass hay. He found himself being lifted, so he made a jump off the cock and was carried ten yards away with the force of the wind.(continues on next page)
