A Funny Story (ar lean)
“Long ago there lived together a young boy and his mother.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)anyone only to tell it do so.
He came to the same house and he told the woman all about the stick. When the boy went to sleep the woman took the stick and left one of her own sticks in place of it. The the other woman was testing the stick and she told it to beat someone but as there was no one in the house to beat the stick started to beat herself. With all the noise and roaring the boy awoke and the woman begged him to stop the stick and she said she would give him back his treasure which she had unknown to him.
Then the boy went home with his three treasures. When the neighbouring people heard what the boy and the old woman had they said they would make a raid on the house. A whole crowd of boys and men gathered one night and were going to raid the house when the boy got the stick.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
