    The cure for thrush was honey and borax.
    The cure for the whooping cough was to put the child under an ass foal's legs to keep him from kinking [?]
    The cure for a soreness in your wrist is to tie a black ribbon around it.
    If a person had a pain in his chest to rub goose-seam on it would cure it.
    If a person had a soreness in his throat to poltice the throat with boiled orange lillies would cure it.
