time Hunter's mill near Riverstown, Co. Sligo was another mill at which the local people got their oats ground. The road on which these people travelled is known to this day as the Mill Road. Flap-Jacks was bread which was mixed in a basin with milk. The cake was left on the gridiron before the fire until in the course of half an hour it was baked hard. Noggins were square wooden vessels which were used instead of delph ones and had to be thoroughly scrubbed after every meal. They are to be found in some houses to this day.
