    The cuckoo makes no nest, but she lays her eggs in other birds nest. The robin lays five eggs and the wren twenty and over it sometimes and the rest of the birds lay nine or ten.
    When the swallow flies low and the crane is to be seen around the bog holes, curlew whistling and the seagulls coming in clusters to the lowlands is the sign of bad weather. The robin has a red breast because a drop of the sacred blood fell on her breast.
