  1. A severe storm swept over our little Island washed by the waves of the wild Atlantic on the 12th August, 1932.
    This grave storm commenced at about 6 pm It continued for about four or five weary hours. This lightning and wind was very severe and a large number of people lost their lives during its duration.
    Motorists, cars, trains and buses were blown across ditches, off thei lines and turned over. Several brave warriors lost their lives on the mad sea.
    Poor dumb animals perished and starved along the bare ditches and hedges.
    Papers and paper cars did not turn up and worst of all, the wind ended, with thunder and lightning.
