When the sun is very watery looking, and the sky gets cloudy, and a rainbow is in the sky it is a sign of rain.
The South wind brings most rain to my district. When the dust blows of the road and the cat washes her face it is a sign of rain.
If the swallows fly low and if you hear the train far away and when the curlews are singing it is a sure sign of rain.
If a hill appears near to you that is far away it is a sign of rain.
