  1. Our farm animals at home are the cows, the horse, and the ass, The names of our cows are Salley and Daisy.
    The cowhouse is divided into two parts by a channel.
    There are stakes in the cowhouse to which the cows are tied with a spancel.
    The cowhouse is called a byre. The cows are tied by the neck. The ties are made of ropes and chains.
    They are not home made. The customs connected with milking cows are : - to made the sign of the cross on the cow's leg with the froth of the milk when they are after milking them
    Some people put a penny in a can when they are milking a young cow for the first time.
