Warts: He who has warts must find water in the hollow of a rock without looking for it. This water is said to remove the warts. Another way for curing warts is to rub the warts with an eel's head. The head is then buried and by the time the head has rotted away the warts are gone. Warts are also cured by rubbing them with a frog or snail. The frog or snail must be found while the person is not looking for them.
Stye on the eye: A stye on the eye is cured in the following way. Ten gooseberry thorns are picked. On Mondays and Thursdays they are pointed at the stye and the tenth is thrown across the left shoulder with the right hand. Certain prayers are said while the thorns are being pointed at the stye.
Sprains: Certain people are supposed to have the cure of sprains. He who has the sprain must go to the person on certain for the cure. There is a certain thred called a "straining" thread tied around the sprained joint. This(continues on next page)- Collector
