   often eaten. Báirneachs, and mionanáns were often eaten also. People used to eat early in the evening. Báirneachs and cockles were eaten on Good Friday. They all used to eat a lot of eggs on Easter Sunday, because it was seldom they got eggs at that time. It was about fifty years ago sinse tea first came in use. Timber mugs they used before cups came into use. This story was related to me by my father.

   (L) Long ago there were three men in a certain house (wokl) working together. One night two of the men went to a dance. There were trees on the side of the road. While they were passing the trees they saw a light. When they saw the light they were going to turn back but they didn't. They went to the dance and when they were coming home they saw the light again in between the trees. They went straight to where the light was shin(n)ing. When they were
