because the sea was very rough. The captain gave it to him and he went away. When he was half way in the boat capsized and it was broken. There was a Coast guard in the strand and he swam out and saved him. The letter was found in his pocket when he was brought ashore, and it was quite dry. The other ship after a while drew its ancor and hit the rocks and got broken but all the crew were saved. She was ripped up in Banna strand and she was brought to the Randy Quay in small boats.
