  1. There is a field in my locality called the Kiln field. Long ago there was a kiln in that field. They used to burn the mud, and make bricks out of it.
    There was some of the bricks in one of John Kearney's old houses, but he has the house knocked down now. There were six men working there. Patrick Hare was the man who was over these men.
    In eighteen forty seven they stopped making the bricks, because the people had no money to buy them.
