  2. Every night a noise was heard in a house near Ardfert. The noise began about midnight and kept on until one o'clock. The people of the house were terrified and told the priest. He came to the house one night and brought his breviary with him. When it was midnight the noise was heard again and the priest summoned all his courage and went into the room.
