About fifty years ago there lived in Cappaclough Jack Mararty and his wife Maire Keane. They lived in a one roomed cabin, in the corner of a meadow, which belonged to my grand-aunt. They were both natives of Ballyferriter who had come to this place to live. They knew no English and the people had great fun at their funny methods.
