When the donkey returned to Cill Íde it is said that St Ita cursed the people of Tournafulla especially those who sent the dogs after her donkey and she prayed that the blood of their ancestors lie upon them. One of the men who sent the dogs after the ass was named Ward. As a result of this curse all the male descendants of the Wards are bald.- Collector
