    On Sliab Mis Mountain I was born and bred,
    and I'll stay there till I die.
    My name is Moor but they call me fathead,
    I am a woodcutters only boy.

    Its many a day and its many a night
    I roamed by my native mountain.
    oh I never saw such a beautiful fountain.
    III
    oh I'll never roam from my dear mountain.
    Whatever cause it may be.
    I was born and bred on that mountain
