If the neighbours are kind to one another they will help one another in sowing the potatoes.
Potatoes in ridges are earthed with a shovel, and potatoes in drills are rose to, with a plough. Potatoes are also prayed with blue stone and washing soda.
Farmers also help one another when digging the potatoes and when the boys get home from school in the evening they help to pick the potatoes. Some people store them into the barn and some people put them in pits. The pits are made of rushes and earth the rushes are put next to the potatoes and the earth outside.(continues on next page)- Collector
