    Every one welcomes the travellers if they are poor but if they have a caravan they have no pity for them unless they are very old and are not able to work. Very seldom the travellers remain longer than a night as they have to go around to seek a living. The woman of the house makes a shake-down for them with straw on the hearth. The alms they accept is money and potatoes and tea. Most of them travel on foot. A share of them travel in families and others in bands.
