    Long ago there lived a King in Castle Farm he had one son and he was the best hand-ball player in Ireland. His father built a large alley for him in the Castle-yard. One morning he went out to play, and he met a small man. The little man challenged him to play. The king's son agreed, and they played for wish. The little man won the game. He told the King's son that he should find Darby Red Beard's Castle in the land of Nowhere, and bring back home with him the Cloak of Darkness, The Sword of Lightning, and the Seven League Boots. The little man gave him a year and a day to do the job. The King's son told his father. His father gave him a ball, and told him follow the ball wherever it would go, so he started on his journey and the ball led him to a castle in a lonely wood.
