    About a mile from Tralee in a field near Ballyard the following curious incident took place many, many years ago. - A young man who was in the habit of going to a card school in Tralee had lost all his money there. One night when he was coming home after losing his money he met a stranger and the stranger told him that if he would go with him at the end of a year he would win back his money. The young man agreed to go with him.
    The next night the young man went to the card-school again, and won back his money. The people began to get suspicious of him, and they would not play with him any more.
    The day came when the young man was to go with the stranger. He went and told his story to the
