The old cure for a stye in the eye was to get cold strained black tea and rub it to the stye. - The cure for a tooth-ache was to rub tobacco ashes to your teeth after each meal.

- Caraígeen moss boiled and mixed with brown sugar and lemon juice was taken when going to bed and again when fasting in the morning. It is supposed to be a great cure for sore-throat.(continues on next page)
