  2. About twenty years ago, there was a famous Tug o' War team in Currens. In 1921 they won the championship of Munster at Killarney beating the Ballyvourney team who also aimed at being the Munster champions
    The members of the team were:-
    John O'Sullivan, Farrandoctor
    James and Dan Daly, Kilfalney,
