- Maurice Brosnan, Lissataggel, an old man of nearly one hundred years, who died about ten years ago was a great dancing-master. He used to hold dancing-classes during the Winter season and at the end of the season held a benefit dance to which people flocked from far and near. At the age of ninety he won a prize for dancing at a Feis in Tralee. His people were evicted out of their home near Moriarty's Cross by the Cronins and then secured a little cabin at Lissataggel where his niece and nephew still live.
