    I have a namesake among the present leaders,
    Whom I'm not ashamed of, or need I be
    For he bore the prison, without a sullen notion
    All for the sake of his country.
    His love of freedom, is pure and unblemished
    No mean ambition stirs his inmost (soul) core
    And his memory shall long be cherished
    Like that of Emmet, who is gone before.
