  1. The nearest tailors to our house are in Castleisland. The man that I am going to mention work at their own homes. The implements the tailor uses are table, machine, scissors, thimble, needle and chalk. Sometimes the shirts are made at home and other times they are bought made. Sometimes he shirts are made of flannel and dlannelette. In former times the people used to make shirts and sheets out of flax. Stockings and socks and jumpers are knitted locally. In odd places the thread is now spun.
